• The hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU), for which Sh5 million was spent on consultancy, has never been operational due to a lack of an anesthesiologist.
• Only one functional ambulance serves the entire county, raising concerns about emergency response.
• The county health budget for the hospital was drastically cut from Sh358 million to Sh49 million.
• The hospital owes KEMSA Sh29 million and faces delayed reimbursements from the Social Health Authority (SHA), receiving only Sh62 million out of Sh57 million in claims submitted since the scheme began, including zero for the month of August.
