Kenya's Tourism Principal Secretary John Olotuaa urged hotels and hospitality facilities to allocate space for tree planting, boosting the "One Tourist, One Tree" initiative and promoting sustainable tourism. This call aligns with Kenya's national goal of planting 15 billion trees by 2032.

• Over 5,000 trees were planted by visitors during the recent Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE).
• The Ministry of Tourism also encouraged schools to participate in tree planting, with 8,000 trees planted during a Mazingira Day event.
• Kenya aims to achieve 30% tree cover by 2050, building on existing progress that has seen tree cover rise to 12%.
