The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) recruitment has commenced as planned, despite legal challenges from Nairobi County lawmakers regarding recruitment center allocation. Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya assured that the exercise would proceed while the ministry engages with the lawmakers.

The recruitment exercise will run until October 25, including various roles such as General Service Officers (GSO) cadets, Specialist Officers, and General Duty Recruits.
Tuya announced new guidelines to combat fraud, stating that anyone involved in extortion or bribery will face immediate arrest and legal action, with agencies like NIS, DCI, and EACC involved.
Citizens are encouraged to report fraud or bribery via hotlines: 0726 419 706 and 0726 419 709.
