Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has condemned opposition leaders for politicizing the health of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga, calling their remarks disrespectful and "un-African." Kindiki confirmed he had spoken with Odinga, who is "safe and healthy" and focused on national progress.

• Kindiki made the remarks on Monday in Alego Usonga, Siaya County, during a resource mobilization forum.
• The Deputy President underscored the government’s support for President William Ruto’s collaboration with Odinga and other leaders in promoting unity and national development.
• Siaya County is a major beneficiary of the Broad-Based Government initiative, receiving a Sh3.1 billion investment in fish landing sites and Sh35 billion for affordable housing.
