President William Ruto announced the creation of a National Infrastructure Fund to raise Ksh.4 trillion for massive infrastructure projects in Kenya, aiming to propel the nation into the league of developed countries. This fund will target reliable energy, food security through dams, and expanded road networks.

• The fund aims to generate Ksh.4 trillion to power various infrastructure projects, including increasing power capacity by 10,000MW (estimated Ksh.1 trillion), building 50 mega dams (estimated Ksh.1.5 trillion) for food security, and expanding road networks (estimated Ksh.1.5 trillion).
• President William Ruto made these remarks while commissioning the completed Phase One Horizontal Infrastructure of the Konza Technopolis in Makueni County.
• The plan also includes building 1,000km of dual carriageways, 10,000km of tarmac roads, extending the Standard Gauge Railway to neighboring countries, and modernizing Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
