The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reached a staff-level agreement with Somalia on policies to complete the fourth review under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) arrangement.

• This agreement will enable the release of 30 million U.S. dollars, subject to approval by the IMF Executive Board.
• The IMF also approved Somalia's request for an augmentation of access under the ECF arrangement of approximately 40 million dollars, due to foreign aid cuts and adverse weather.
• Somalia's economic growth projection for 2025 is now 3 percent, a decrease from the previous 4.1 percent in 2024.
