The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is challenging the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP)’s attempt to withdraw a corruption and forgery case against University of Nairobi staffer Daniel Brian Ouma Okeyo. The EACC argues the withdrawal is premature due to existing court orders halting the proceedings.

• Okeyo is accused of forging academic documents and unlawfully obtaining more than Ksh.32 million in salaries and benefits.
• The EACC informed the Anti-Corruption Court that petitions filed by Okeyo in the High Court and Labour Court, granted on July 9, are still in effect.
• The alleged offenses occurred between 2015 and 2025 while Okeyo served in various senior positions at the University of Nairobi.
