A family in Kaloleni, Kilifi County, is seeking justice after their 14-year-old daughter, Muthoni, died under unexplained circumstances on October 7, 2025, shortly after receiving an antibiotic injection at a private hospital in Bombolulu for a persistent cough.

• The Grade Eight pupil reportedly developed complications and began frothing at the nose while traveling home from the hospital.
• A post-mortem conducted on October 8, 2025, at the Kilifi County Referral Hospital, did not determine the exact cause of death.
