Following the sudden passing of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna appealed to party supporters to cease gathering at Raila’s Karen residence due to overcrowding. Sifuna made the statement from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), expressing concern over chaos reported at the home and in Nairobi's CBD.

• Sifuna urged supporters to maintain peace and revealed plans for ODM’s leadership to establish designated mourning points.
• Raila Odinga died of cardiac arrest during a morning walk in India, where he was undergoing treatment, pronounced dead at approximately 9:52 AM.
• Sifuna is part of a special delegation, hand-picked by the President, to repatriate Raila’s body, which includes Mama Ida, Cabinet Secretaries Kipchumba Murkomen and Hassan Joho, and other key figures.
