Raila Odinga, a prominent Kenyan figure, will be buried on Sunday, October 19, in accordance with his wishes to be interred within 72 hours of his passing. The burial arrangements were confirmed by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, who chairs the National Funeral Committee for Raila.

• Raila's body is expected to arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Thursday, October 16, around 10am, and will be received by President William Ruto.
• The body will lie in state at the Parliament buildings, allowing Kenyans to view it between 12 noon and 5pm.
• He will be buried in the family’s graveyard in Kango Ka Jaramogi, Nyamira, Bondo, alongside his late son Fiden and father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
