• Mohamud Gedi, the Acting Managing Director and CEO of KAA, stated the enhanced security was due to the arrival of Raila Odinga's remains.
• Thousands of supporters thronged JKIA, breaching security to access the tarmac where the plane landed.
• Raila Odinga passed away on October 15, 2025, in Kochi, Kerala, India, at the age of 80, after battling various health challenges.
