Chaotic scenes unfolded outside Kenya's Parliament Buildings in Nairobi on Thursday as thousands of supporters of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga attempted to force their way into the compound. The crowd had gathered to await the arrival of Odinga's body, leading to clashes with security officers.

• Thousands of supporters breached razor-wire barriers along City Hall Way.
• Political figures including ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, and Narok Senator Ledama Olekina intervened to calm the crowd.
• Supporters attempted to climb over gates and walls, chanting and wailing, in an effort to gain access to the parliament precincts.
