Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will be buried in a private ceremony on Sunday, October 19, 2025, attended by a select few, his family announced. This follows a public viewing and a State funeral service at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday.

The private burial will occur after a ceremony at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST).
Elder brother Dr. Oburu Oginga, co-chair of the State funeral committee, made the announcement in Bondo, Siaya County.
The burial will be conducted according to the traditions of the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) and will take place next to his parents.
