The National Funeral Committee has announced a change in the funeral arrangements for the late Raila Odinga, stating his body will not be taken to his Karen residence for an overnight stay as initially planned due to "unavoidable circumstances."

• The body will be returned to the Lee Funeral Home for preservation after the public viewing at Nyayo National Stadium.
• The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party confirmed the change, with Director of Communications Philip Etale stating the body will be airlifted to Kisumu on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
• The burial is scheduled for Sunday in Bondo, Siaya County, according to Anglican Church of Kenya traditions.
