The body of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga arrived in Kisumu on Saturday, October 18, by military plane, ahead of a public viewing at the Mamboleo Showgrounds.

• Raila Odinga's mortal remains arrived at 7:20am under heavy military guard.
• The military aircraft, coded ENIGMA01, received a final military water salute.
• The body was draped with the national flag and then transferred to a chopper, believed to belong to the National Intelligence Service (NIS), for transport to Mamboleo.
• Thousands of supporters had gathered in Kisumu, including at the Kondele roundabout, anticipating a road procession before learning the body would be airlifted.
