The Mahindra Group has announced a strategic partnership with Embraer Defense & Security to introduce the C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft to India for the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) programme.

• The partnership builds on an MoU signed in February 2024, with a formal agreement signed on October 18 at Embraer’s New Delhi office.
• The collaboration aims to establish India as a regional hub for C-390 manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, and supply-chain partnerships, aligning with India’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives.
• The C-390 Millennium is currently in service or on order with air forces in Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, the Netherlands, Austria, South Korea, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia, Lithuania, and one undisclosed customer.
