The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is urging countries to enhance their early warning systems as millions remain vulnerable to increasingly severe weather and climate disasters. Despite progress with the Early Warning for All initiative, significant gaps in funding, personnel, and technology persist globally.

• 130 countries are currently benefiting from the EW4All program, valued at over $150 million (Sh19.4 billion).
• Secretary-General Celeste Saulo highlighted that every dollar invested in early warning systems can save up to fifteen dollars in disaster impacts.
• Kenya is among the nations participating in the program, receiving support from the UK government, World Bank, and its own government investments.
