More than 40 lecturers at the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) have been interdicted and are receiving half salaries for participating in an ongoing national strike. This development comes as the lecturers vow to continue their protest until all their demands are met, despite the court ruling set for December 11.

• Fred Sawenja, secretary general, UASU, TUK, stated that the court will rule on December 11 if the Ksh.7.9 billion pay increment from the 2019–2021 CBA is not resolved within 10 days.
• The interdictions prompted a parallel protest by academic staff at TUK over the institution's failure to honor a March agreement to pay full salaries and end half payments.
• Jacob Musembi, national deputy secretary general, UASU, highlighted that the institution has reneged on its commitment to pay full salaries starting July, as agreed in their return-to-work formula.
