The body of Edward Too, a deputy principal at Kapkilaibei High School, was discovered floating in the River Itare after being reported missing since October 18, 2025. Police have launched an investigation into the death of the 49-year-old teacher.

The discovery was confirmed by Bomet County Police Commander Edward Ibwaga after Too's wife reported him missing to Konoin Police Station.
Koiwa location Chief Emily Koech notified police upon spotting the body, which was later retrieved by Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) officers from Konoin.
The body showed no visible injuries and has been taken to Kapkatet Subcounty Hospital Mortuary for preservation and an autopsy.
