MultiChoice, under new ownership by Canal+, is significantly cutting DStv decoder prices in Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria starting November 1, 2025, in an effort to regain subscribers.

• Prices will drop by up to 40% online and 30% in retail stores, with Kenya seeing discounts of up to KES 9,000.
• The move follows a loss of 2.8 million active subscribers across Africa over the last two years, with Kenya alone losing 1.2 million subscribers between June 2024 and June 2025.
• The DStv Explora in Kenya will now cost KES 13,500 online, down from KES 22,500.
