Separately, Dr. Mukuhi Ng’ang’a, a Consultant Breast Surgical Oncologist at Aga Khan University Hospital, highlighted that breast cancer is increasingly affecting younger women in sub-Saharan Africa. She emphasized that late presentation is a significant barrier to survival in the region.
