Kenya has enacted the Air Passenger Service Charge (Amendment) Bill, 2025, granting the Cabinet Secretary for Transport power to vary air passenger service charges. This new law significantly increases both international and domestic fees to better fund key aviation and tourism sectors.
- International air passenger service charge increased to US $50, and domestic to KSh 600.
- Funds will now be apportioned among four agencies: Kenya Airports Authority, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Kenya Meteorological Service Authority, and the Tourism Fund.
