The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has launched an investigation into the alleged brutal assault and torture of 17-year-old Felix Senet ole Takuna while in police custody at Naroosura Police Station in Narok County.

• The boy was arrested on October 10 on allegations of theft and subsequently suffered severe injuries, including a blood infection that may lead to leg amputation.
• IPOA Chairperson Ahmed Isaack Hassan confirmed the probe, vowing to ensure accountability and human rights in policing.
• Despite a magistrate ordering medical care and prison authorities refusing admission due to his injuries, Senet was eventually hospitalized but remains chained to his bed under police guard.
