Four suspects have been arrested and a firearm recovered after it was stolen from a police officer during the burial of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga last Sunday. The weapon was snatched from an officer escorting Governor Fernandes Barasa at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) gate.
Four suspects were apprehended on Saturday, October 25, by officers from the Kasagam police station, following a tip-off.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) recovered the loaded firearm during a raid in Mbeme area, Kisumu East.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 PM on Sunday, October 19, during the state burial of the former prime minister.
