Kenya's Hit Squad finished as runners-up to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for the second consecutive time at the Africa Zone Three Boxing Championships in Nairobi. The DRC dominated the competition, securing more than double Kenya's gold medals.

• Kenya earned a total of 24 medals: five gold, 11 silver, and eight bronze.
• The Democratic Republic of Congo retained their title with 21 medals: 12 gold, five silver, and four bronze.
• Notable Kenyan gold medallists included Boniface Mogunde (Africa Boxing Championships light middleweight gold medallist) and female boxers Veronica Mbithe, Amina Martha, and Frizah Anyango.
• Uganda finished third with 15 medals: five gold, four silver, and six bronze, followed by Cameroon and Tanzania.
• The event served as preparation for the Elite World Men Boxing Championships in Dubai from December 2-13.
