Residents of Njiru in Kasarani constituency, Nairobi, have named an estate road "Raila Odinga Road" in honor of the late former Prime Minister. This act, led by the Kamatuto residents' chairperson and boda boda drivers, aims to acknowledge his contributions, particularly as former Roads Minister.

• The newly named Raila Odinga Road is a three-kilometre stretch connecting Kangundo Road through Kamatuto Estate to Mwiki.
• Residents are urging Governor Johnson Sakaja and MP Ronald Karauri to renovate the poorly maintained road to boost the local economy.
• This follows a previous renaming in late 2021 by the Nairobi County government, which changed Mbagathi Way to Raila Odinga Way, a 6-kilometre dual carriageway.
