• The Isebania OCS Bornes Chepkemei informed her Tanzanian counterpart of the complaints and called for a joint meeting to resolve issues and retrieve confiscated items.
• Tarime-Rorya Police Commander Mark Njera agreed to a meeting on Tuesday, October 28, but warned against demonstrations, stating it is "not the norm for us."
• This situation follows recent border drama where a crowd stormed immigration offices demanding the release of Tanzanian opposition leader John Heche, who was detained after attempting to enter Kenya to attend a funeral.
