The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has raided the homes and offices of Nyamira County Governor Amos Nyaribo in connection with a Ksh382 million corruption probe involving an irregular tender for a county building.

• The EACC simultaneously searched residences and offices in Nyamira, Kisii, and Nairobi counties to recover evidence.
• The Ksh382 million tender was for constructing a Nyamira County Government building, awarded to a company that allegedly received payments exceeding work completed.
• Governor Nyaribo is also accused of irregularly authorizing Ksh18 million in payments to himself, including Ksh5 million as a voluntary payment and Ksh13 million for house allowance.
