The Kenyan Judiciary will conduct an institution-wide employee census on Thursday, October 30, to strengthen accountability and human resource management, according to Chief Justice Martha Koome. • An audit revealed a discrepancy of 2,180 unexplained staff in the Judiciary's payroll for the financial year ending June 30, 2024.
• The census is part of ongoing reform efforts, following a similar exercise in 2018 and an anti-corruption systems review by the EACC in 2021.
