Murang'a Senator Joe Nyutu, an ally of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, has openly challenged the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party to remove him, stating he will not leave willingly.

• Nyutu dared UDA leaders, including President William Ruto, to kick him out, stating, "If UDA is not happy with Nyutu being a Senator member in Murang'a, let UDA remove me from their list of members."
• He claimed President Ruto is desperate and plans to "inherit" or "use" the opposition Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party for his re-election campaign.
• The Senator argued Ruto's desperation stems from not committing to UDA's foundation during the last election, believing he could "do away with people."
