Police in Kinangop, Nyandarua County, have launched investigations after a Grade Five boy from St. Christopher Primary School was found murdered in a maize farm with his head severed.

• The victim was last seen on the farm with his mother before going missing yesterday evening.
• Police officers found maize flour and his clothes in a bag next to the body.
• Child rights officer Mary Muigai advised parents to protect children during the long holiday.
