Kenyan university lecturers, represented by the Universities Academic Staff Union (UASU), have rejected the government's offer to pay Ksh7.9 billion in arrears in two phases, vowing to continue their strike until all demands are met.

• UASU Secretary General Constantine Wesonga stated that the payment of Ksh7.9 billion must be made "once and immediately."
• The UASU National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Delegates Conference (NDC) unanimously rejected the phased payment plan.
• Lecturers demand the negotiation, registration, and full implementation of the 2025–2029 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and immediate payment of four months in unpaid salaries.
