Several senior officials at the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ) have been suspended over allegations of gross misconduct, incompetence, and insubordination. This decision was made to facilitate a fair disciplinary process, with investigations into financial irregularities now involving external agencies.

• Among the suspended are Commission Secretary and CEO Mercy Wambua, Assistant Director of Finance Bernard Nyariki, and Assistant Director of Supply Chain Management Damaris Mburu.
• The CAJ will invite the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to probe financial irregularities.
• Mercy Wambua previously served as CEO of the Law Society of Kenya for six years and was reinstated by the High Court in 2021 after being sent on compulsory leave.
