Medical Services Principal Secretary Ouma Oluga has urged churches across Kenya to encourage their congregants to register and contribute to the Social Health Authority (SHA). This call aims to ensure the success of the government’s universal healthcare plan, emphasizing public participation as crucial for accessible and affordable healthcare for all Kenyans.

• Over 27 million Kenyans have registered with the Social Health Authority (SHA), less than a year after it replaced the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF).
• PS Oluga made the appeal at the 37th Graduation Ceremony of Sister Leonella and Consolata Medical College in Nyeri.
• The SHA manages three key funds: the Primary Healthcare Fund, the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), and the Emergency, Chronic and Critical Illness Fund.
