French authorities have accused the fast fashion giant Shein of selling "sex dolls with a childlike appearance" on its website, prompting an investigation and legal action just days before the company's first permanent physical store is set to open in Paris.

• The Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) reported Shein to French prosecutors and online regulators.
