The Kenya Open Golf Limited (KOGL) has signed a Tour Recognition Agreement with the Sunshine Development Tour - East Africa Swing (SDT), elevating the SDT to a "recognised tournament." This deal allows professional golfers to earn Safari Tour ranking points on the SDT, exclusively for qualifying for the Magical Kenya Open.

• The SDT Betika Masters event at Vet Lab Sports Club will be the first qualifying event under this new arrangement, with future events in Nigeria, at Limuru Country Club, Vipingo, and the Karen Country Club also counting towards qualification for the Magical Kenya Open 2026.
