India successfully launched its heaviest communication satellite, CMS-03, into orbit using the upgraded LVM-3 heavy-lift rocket from Sriharikota. This mission marks the eighth successive successful launch for the LVM-3, dubbed "Bahubali" for its payload capabilities.

• The LVM-3 rocket’s payload capacity was increased by approximately 10 percent for this flight.
• The mission was announced as a success by ISRO chairman Dr. V. Narayanan.
• CMS-03 aims to enhance India’s high-capacity communication services for strategic, commercial, and government users.
