President William Ruto is scheduled to depart for Doha, Qatar, on Monday, November 3, 2025, to attend the United Nations Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2).

• The three-day summit will focus on poverty reduction, decent work, and social inclusion.
• President Ruto will finalize investment agreements for Kenya’s infrastructure and engage in bilateral discussions, including with Qatar’s Emir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
• Kenya aims to attract increased Qatari investment in sectors like agriculture, renewable energy, and health, and expand the Kenya-Qatar Bilateral Labour Agreement for more professional opportunities for Kenyans.
