These actions are part of a pattern targeting personnel who worked on inquiries related to Trump or his allies, drawing scrutiny from Congress.

• Four agents who worked on Smith's team were initially fired, with terminations later rescinded for two of them.
• Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley publicly released unredacted subpoenas from Smith’s investigation, leading to social media targeting of fired agent Jeremy Desor.
• Another fired agent, Jamie Garman, was placed on administrative leave after Grassley released records showing limited "tolling data" was sought from eight Republican senators and one House of Representatives member's cell phones.
