TikTok has revealed it removed over 500,000 Kenyan videos from its platform between April and June this year due to violations of its community guidelines. This action is part of the social media giant's ongoing efforts to ensure a safe digital environment for its users.

• 592,037 videos were removed from TikTok Kenya between April and June 2025, with 92% deleted before any views.
• The global platform removed 189 million videos during the same period, representing 0.7% of all uploaded content.
• 163.9 million videos were automatically removed by AI-driven moderation systems, with 94.4% taken down within 24 hours.
• TikTok also removed 76,991,660 fake accounts and an additional 25,904,708 accounts suspected of being underage.
• 2,321,813 LIVE sessions received warnings and demonetization for breaching monetization policies.
