Ugandan security forces have killed a traditional herbalist, Christian Asuman Muganzi, who reportedly led a coordinated attack on police and military bases over the weekend in Uganda's remote western regions.

• 20 fighters were killed alongside Christian Asuman Muganzi, with 15 others arrested.
• The attack, which began on Saturday, targeted three districts along the border with Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
• Insurgents used submachine guns and machetes, killing at least one civilian and one soldier.
