The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) announced it will identify alternative routes for motorists to avoid toll charges on the under-construction Rironi–Nakuru–Mau Summit Highway, addressing public backlash over the tolling proposal. Despite this, KeNHA maintains that using the toll road will be more economical due to reduced travel time and improved safety.
- The highway project covers 175 kilometres of the A8 Road and 58 kilometres of the A8 South Road.
- Acting Director General Luka Kimeli issued the update from KeNHA.
