The Sudanese government has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to investigate and act against states or entities allegedly funding and arming the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), accused of atrocities in Darfur.

• Sudan's Ambassador to Kenya, Mohamed Osman, pressed for international measures to halt weapons and financial support to the RSF from Nairobi.
• The ambassador highlighted reports indicating RSF's recruitment and import of foreign mercenaries from neighboring countries.
• Ambassador Osman described the situation in North Darfur as catastrophic, condemning the international community's "deafening silence" as a "betrayal of Sudan's vulnerable population."
