Kenya's Chief of Defence Forces, General Charles Kahariri, is on a four-day visit to Rwanda, from November 4 to 7, 2025, to strengthen bilateral defence relations and explore new cooperation areas in regional security, training, and peace support operations.

General Kahariri held bilateral talks with Rwanda's Chief of Defence Staff, General Mubarak Muganga, and paid a courtesy call to Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda.
Discussions focused on reviewing and strengthening the "excellent defence cooperation" between the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF).
General Kahariri laid a wreath at the Kigali Genocide Memorial and will deliver a lecture at the RDF Command and Staff College in Nyakinama.
