Safaricom Kenya has announced a substantial 22.6 percent year-on-year increase in net income, reaching Sh58.2 billion in the first half of the 2025/2026 financial year, largely propelled by the strong performance of its mobile money service, M-PESA.

• Safaricom Group's net income, including operations in Ethiopia, climbed by 52.1 percent to Sh42.8 billion.
• M-PESA led service revenue growth with a 14.0 percent increase and now contributes 45 percent of total service revenue.
• One-month active M-PESA customers rose by 13.3 percent to 37.9 million, while one-month connectivity customers increased by 7.5 percent to 37.5 million.
