The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has initiated the process to elect a new council, including a successor for current President Faith Odhiambo, with elections scheduled for February 2026.

• Faith Odhiambo's tenure, concluding in March 2026, involved defending Gen Z protesters but stirred controversy by accepting a government appointment, which she later resigned from.
• Her deputy, Mwaura Kabata, is expected to contend for the top position.
