• Penalties, including statutory closure or prosecution, await those who have not repainted their buildings after a 14-day final warning.
• Suzanne Silantoi, Health and Nutrition County Executive Committee Member (CECM), confirmed inspections will cover key commercial zones such as CBD, Westlands, and Upper Hill.
• The directive is based on the Public Health Act (Cap 242) and the Physical and Land Use Planning Act (2019), and Governor Johnson Sakaja waived repainting permit fees to ease financial burdens.
