A Malian woman, Mariam Cisse, known for her pro-army TikTok videos, was abducted and executed in a public square in northern Mali.

• Mariam Cisse had nearly 100,000 followers on TikTok.
• She was taken from a market in Tonka, an area contested by Mali's army and an al Qaeda-allied insurgent group known as Jama'at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM).
• The execution reportedly occurred on either Friday or Saturday, with her captors being suspected local jihadist groups.
