A recent memorial service for the late gospel singer Betty Bayo saw her husband, Hiram Gitau (known as Tash), and ex-husband, Pastor Victor Kanyari, pay emotional tributes and surprisingly unite in their grief.

• Tash expressed gratitude for support and acknowledged the presence of his and Betty's children, who were too distraught to speak.
• Pastor Kanyari revealed a respectful relationship with Tash, noting that his children know and call Tash 'daddy'.
• Kanyari shared his profound grief, having been unaware of Betty's illness and describing nightmares and difficulty accepting her death since November 11.
