The Kenyan government has established three new administrative sub-regions in Nairobi – Nairobi North, Nairobi East, and Nairobi West Service Delivery Coordination Units – to improve efficiency and service delivery for the city's growing population of over five million.

• These units were created following the recently concluded Jukwaa La Usalama public forums, as announced by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen.
• Each sub-region will be led by a County Commissioner: Rose Wanjiru Chege for Nairobi West, Patrick Simiyu Werre for Nairobi East, and Simon Odhiambo Osumba for Nairobi North.
• The new sub-regions encompass all Nairobi sub-counties, with further redeployments of County Commissioners also announced nationwide as part of immediate changes.
